Sedona Park: Your New Fave Wedding Musicians In Glasgow

Okay, favourites might be a stretch. But as violin-led wedding entertainment goes, this is definitely more fun than you’d think. So often, couples tell us that they booked us for their wedding music expecting us to be a classy bit of background texture for the day - and that, we are! - only to find that it becomes so much more than that.

More Than Background Music

Singalongs; spontaneous dance-offs; even on-the-spot requests occasionally granted! We’re even a conversation piece - we’ve lost count of the number of times wedding guests have told us they’ve been sitting playing a private game of Name That Tune listening to our jams.

Get The Party Started

We’ve got the scope to go upbeat, if that’s what you want - acoustic guitar and stompbox give our sound a funky edge that’s quite unusual. And our song selection is on-point. We’re going for wedding classics, busting out movie soundtracks, cult classics, 90s R&B hits and pop bangers.

Or We’ll Keep It Chill

We’re also more than comfortable in the background, playing lush ballads with rich harmony, as well as Scottish favourites, and even occasional forays into trad music if it’s what the doctor ordered. And we’re doing all of this with the lyrical playing of Cat Robertson, whose credits include Texas, Deacon Blue, and Echo and the Bunnymen, on lead violin.

“Thanks so much for coming to Arran! You guys were amazing, our guests loved it and so did we!"

— Suzy and Michael, The Boathouse, Isle of Arran

Any Questions?

Whether it’s background music that steals the show, entertainment for your own Bridgerton ball, or a blast of ceilidh to get your wedding reception kicked off with a bang, we’re here for whatever you need.

Well the first thing to say is that wedding string quartets are great fun. Cat’s played in her share of them and they’re a great addition to the day - classy, versatile, and often glam. Thoroughly recommend! However, no - we absolutely smoke them. Okay, only joking - but what we’re doing is slightly different. We can get a little bit more funky and maybe upbeat than a string quartet because we’ve got a stompbox and an acoustic guitar in the mix, but you’ve still got that classic wedding ceremony elegance of lead violin.

We think Sedona Park is a great mix of elements for wedding entertainment, because we can ramp up and play some classic Earth Wind and Fire, or throw in some Toxic by Britney, or even go down a trad Scots route. It’s going to feel dynamically very different to when we are doing chill stuff like Heartbeats (Jose Gonzales) or A Thousand Years (Christina Perri). So there’s lots of diversity in the set - and it’s also sometimes possible for us to jam requests ad-hoc (no promises, but try us)!

Absolutely. We’ll play events and weddings - that’s ceremonies, drinks receptions, and even evening parties - throughout venues in Scotland and beyond. We’re based in Glasgow, but we’ve brought our musical entertainment to weddings and events throughout Scotland including loads in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee, and the Isle of Arran. Just get in touch and we’ll get you a quote that includes travel.
